Custom-built load cell mount for lab shoulder assessments
We acquired a load cell for our shoulder specialized lab and we needed to build a mount that would satisfy the following requirements:
-Be comfortable for participants
-Handle maximum force exerted by participants
-Use at different heights depending on participant height
-Use for three different isometric taks: Arm elevation at scapular plane, external rotation, and early abduction

I designed a clamping system that allowed all this by being attached to different parts of our lab, including our treatment table which can be leveled at different heights.
FUN FACT: In this process, we had to send the load cell back for recalibration, because my first prototype included a magnet (didn't realize how strong it was) that caused the load cell to lose its calibration.
